Hunter Guns: Buying Blue, Is It Worth It?
I have now played no less than 4 hunters, and they
are by far my favorite class. Needless to say, I
have picked up a few tricks along the way. If you
want to output some serious DPS you HAVE to buy a
blue (rare) weapon. You may grumble, and groan that
you cannot afford it, or that it is not worth it.
This is just not true. Every single blue weapon is
absolutely worth it. If you buy Lil Timmy?s
Peashooter at level 16, you CANNOT find an uncommon
gun that will put out more damage until level 24.
How many green (uncommon) guns did you buy between
levels 16-24? Probably a few. This probably cost you
more than if you actually bought that Peashooter
from the beginning.
In some cases, you can actually keep a weapon for 10
levels before needing an upgrade. In the chart
below, I have listed all of the rare guns, and under
it I listed the next uncommon gun that actually does
more damage. This gives you a chart to know how
useful you weapon is, and how far behind, or ahead
you are.
I do need to put a warning in here. If you follow
this strategy, you WILL be pulling agro from your
pet. If you do not know how to manage agro, you will
have to learn ASAP. I also recommend adding scopes
to these weapons for even more damage. If you go the
blue route, you will buy far less scopes in the long
run because you will be going through fewer weapons.
